The local government of Antipolo and the Department of Health-Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOH-TRC) Bicutan have signed an agreement to strengthen the city’s drug rehabilitation program.

“Sa Rehabilitation Center na ito ay mabibigyan ng wastong intervention, after-care at follow-up programs, projects at activities ang mga ihahatid nating pasyenteng drug dependents ng lungsod,” Antipolo City Mayor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares III said in a statement.

Ynares said the partnership will provide the needed care and attention to the city’s drug dependents who are on the road to recovery.

Ynares added that the local government will foot the bill of drug dependents who will be referred to the DOH-TRC facility.

“Naniniwala tayo na hindi pa huli ang lahat para sa mga drug dependents sa lungsod,” said Ynares.

The city is also set to sign agreements with other private rehabilitation centers in Antipolo in the coming days to further beef up its anti-illegal drug program.
